Kevin Reevey, a nationally recognized expert, is a Senior Equity Research Analyst with more than 30 years of experience covering the banking industry. He brings over two decades of experience as both a sell-side and buy-side analyst, dedicated to analyzing large, mid, small, and micro-cap commercial banks. Kevin demonstrates sophisticated intellectual curiosity in researching publicly traded banks, backed by robust business acumen in financial analysis, modeling, and projecting performance outcomes across the banking and financial services industry. His steadfast commitment to industry best practices and disciplined business ethics has established him as a thought leader, bellwether, and trusted advisor.
Prior to joining Elizabeth Park, Kevin was a Managing Director at D.A. Davidson, where he successfully led and built the firm’s Midwest depository institutions equity research franchise, covering more than two dozen companies. Before that, he was a Managing Director at FSI Group, LLC, an investment firm operating a multi-strategy platform focused on the financial services sector. In 2007, Kevin was recognized in The Wall Street Journal’s “Best on the Street” poll as one of the top five thrift equity analysts based on the performance of his stock recommendations. Throughout his career, he has been quoted in numerous publications, including The American Banker, SNL Financial, Bank Director, BusinessWeek, Crain’s Business, and The Wall Street Journal. He is also a frequent speaker at conferences and symposiums on topics related to the U.S. banking sector. In both 2011 and 2013, he spoke at Oracle Corporation’s annual OpenWorld Conference on trends and the outlook for the U.S. banking industry.
Kevin earned his B.S. in Business Administration from New York University’s Stern School of Business and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. In 2023, he was appointed by the Manhattan Borough President to Manhattan Community Board 7, which serves more than 225,000 residents on the Upper West Side. He was elected Board Treasurer in 2024 after serving as Co-Chair of the Youth, Education, and Libraries Committee.
Kevin is an emeritus member of the Alumni Board of Harvard Business School, where he served from 2017 to 2020. He was also Program Co-Chair for the his 20th and 25th-year class reunions. He has served as Board President of the Clifton Cultural Arts Center and as a trustee of the Cincinnati Ballet, where he was a member of the Executive Board and Chairman of the Finance Committee. He also notably served on the boards of the Cincinnati State Technical and Community College Foundation and ArtsWave. Kevin was the Alumni Section Fund Chair for his class at Harvard Business School and was honored in 2014 with the Civic Leadership Award by Venue Magazine.
